Allstate’s Real Estate Investment Group manages over $20 billion of assets for Allstate’s various lines of insurance and financial products and pension fund.

Allstate is a major participant in three areas of commercial real estate investment; Commercial Mortgages, Commercial Mortgage Back Securities and Equity Real Estate Funds. Last year Allstate made over $4 billion of new real estate investment commitments.

Commercial Mortgages
Allstate provides financing through its Commercial Mortgage group to owners and operators of property across the country. We offer loans from $5 to $175 million in size focusing on office, industrial, retail and apartment properties. As a portfolio lender, Allstate has the ability to offer highly flexible, structured loans that best meet our borrower’s needs.

Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) and Structured Products
Allstate was among the early entrants into the CMBS and securitized real estate debt arena. Our real estate securities investment professionals combine real estate, fixed income and structured asset expertise to build the portfolio. We seek the best relative value amongst CMBS, REIT debt, CDO’s, B-Notes and Mezzanine Funds.

Real Estate Equity Funds
Among the largest real estate fund investors, our focus is on the higher risk opportunistic and value-add strategies, but our approach is to minimize risk by investing in a very diligent, process oriented way. Add in a growing international portfolio and we generate a highly diverse, opportunistic investment platform that has consistently produced market beating performance.
