Allstate’s Real Estate Investment Group manages over $17 billion of assets (As of 12/31/10) for Allstate’s various lines of insurance and financial products and pension fund.

Allstate holds investments in three primary areas of commercial real estate: Commercial Mortgages, Structured Products (CMBS/non-agency RMBS/ABS) and Real Estate Equity.

Commercial Mortgages
Allstate is one of the country’s most respected commercial mortgage portfolio lenders. Our approximate $7 billion portfolio (As of 12/31/10) was originated and is serviced through a long-standing mortgage banking/correspondent network. Our origination program focuses on 5 to 10 year permanent financing on stabilized commercial and multifamily properties. We also have shorter term floating rate money available as well as longer term fixed rate financing (7 to 10 years).

Real Estate Capital Markets
Allstate is an active investor in many facets of publicly traded securities backed by Real Estate and Consumer Assets. Our Real Estate Capital Markets investment professionals combine real estate, fixed income and structured asset expertise to build the portfolio. We seek the best relative value amongst CMBS, non-agency RMBS, ABS and REIT debt.

Real Estate Equity
Among the largest real estate equity investors, our focus is on opportunistic and value-add strategies, but our approach is to minimize risk by investing in a very diligent, process oriented way. Add in a growing international portfolio and we generate a highly diverse, opportunistic investment platform that has consistently produced market beating performance.
